2018 Monoposto Championship kicks off
The Leastone team travel to Donington Park this weekend to kick off their 2018 Monoposto championship assault, marking their second full time campaign across the water. 2017 MonoMoto champion Mark Reade returns for his second year in the UK, looking to defend the crown that he secured in his debut Monoposto season last year. Reade will be joined by Morgan McCourt who will tackle the full calendar for the first time, having taken on selected events across the last number of years.
The team have had a busy off season, implementing a number of improvements to the works Leastone 1000’s, both of which will be thrust into action during Thursdays test session, following brief shakedowns earlier this week.
Reade will be looking to replicate the pace that secured him a class win and the championship in the season ending round at Donington last year, while McCourt will be hoping to build on the podium finish he secured at Oulton Park late last year, his last Monoposto outing.
The weekend’s format will see a bumper entry of cars take to the grid for 3 races, with qualifying and Round 1 taking place on Saturday, with Rounds 2 and 3 following on Sunday.
Once again the Leastone team are proudly supported by Finol Oils, who also continue to support the Finol Star of Tomorrow Championship, which will see a Formula Vee rookie join the championship regulars for the 2018 season closing event.
The Monoposto calendar is again chocked full of world class circuits, including a non-championship event at the famous Zandvoort circuit in the Netherlands. The full calendar can be found below:
