Finol continue Leastone partnership into 2019
Leastone Racing are happy to announce that Finol Oils Ltd. have extended their partnership with the team for 2019.
Based out of Kimmage, Dublin, Finol is one of the main distributors for Total and Elf lubricants throughout the island of Ireland. Their partnership with Leastone dates back to 1988, when they backed Leastone founder Paul Heavey in his privateer Sheane. Finol initially sponsored the Kildare native through their Fina brand, which lent itself to a distinctive bright blue livery for many years.
Finol continued their support of Heavey through the formation of Leastone Racing Cars, continuing their sponsorship through Fina up until the 2002 season, when alignment shifted to the Total brand for two seasons. The bright blue again returned in 2005, this time through the Elf brand, which culminated in an impressive display at Dublin's Phoenix Park motor races in 2006 and saw Finol bring Fernando Alonso’s title winning Renault R25 to the Park for public display.
After its earlier short foray, the Total red returned to Leastone cars in 2011 and has remained in place ever since, becoming somewhat synonymous with the Leastone team over the past number of years. 2019 will see the familiar red adorn the works cars in both Ireland and the UK, for Formula Vee and Monoposto campaigns respectively.
