Selco Hygiene Scholarship Returns for 2027

Selco Hygiene Supplies, together with Leastone Racing Cars are delighted to announce the launch of the 2027 Selco Hygiene Scholarship, offering one talented young racing driver the opportunity to take the next step in their motorsport career and secure a place on the Formula Vee grid with the Selco Hygiene Leastone Racing Team for the 2027 season.

Following the success of the inaugural scholarship programme, which saw karting champion Harry Fagan earn a Formula Vee drive for 2026, the scholarship returns to identify, support and develop the next generation of Irish racing talent. Harry was selected after an outstanding karting campaign that included the Senior Max 177 Championship title and strong performances across multiple national championships.

He transferred that pace into single seaters, with numerous rookie class wins in his first year in Formula Vee, with a season highlight of an overall podium finish at Silverstone.

The 2027 Selco Hygiene Scholarship is designed to provide aspiring racers with a genuine pathway into single-seater motorsport. Open to drivers who have demonstrated skill, commitment and potential in karting or other forms of motorsport, the programme aims to remove some of the barriers that often prevent talented young competitors from progressing their careers.

Selco Hygiene has been a long-standing supporter of Irish motorsport and remains committed to investing in emerging talent through its partnership with Leastone Racing Cars.

The successful scholarship recipient will benefit from:

• A subsidised race seat with the Selco Hygiene Leastone Racing Team for the 2027 Formula Vee season

• Driver coaching and mentorship from the team

• Testing and development opportunities

• Technical support from one of Ireland's most successful Formula Vee constructors

• Exposure to sponsors, partners and the wider motorsport community

Applications for the 2027 Selco Hygiene Scholarship will open shortly, with the selection process assessing not only driving ability, but also professionalism, attitude and commitment.

The announcement marks another important step in the continued growth of the Selco Hygiene Leastone Racing Team and its mission to create sustainable pathways for aspiring Irish racing drivers.
