The 2026 racing season continues to ramp up for the Leastone team, and following a productive wet-weather test at Mondello Park on March 14th, the team is looking to hit the ground running when their domestic and international campaigns kick off next weekend.
Harry Fagan: Chasing Success in Formula Vee

Following his initial test late last year, Harry Fagan, the recipient of the inaugural Selco Scholarship, is set to compete for a complete season in the highly competitive Irish Formula Vee championship. Transitioning from karting to cars is always a significant challenge, but Fagan’s performances so far show he’s adapting well. Even though the conditions were tough, his recent test at Mondello brought more valuable seat time and sometimes wet-weather laps can be just as helpful to a newcomer as dry running. For Harry, maintaining consistency in the early races will be crucial as he aims to compete for Rookie class honors. He will have targets of podiums and class wins in the hope of mounting a serious championship challenge in 2026.
Morgan McCourt: Aiming High in UK Monoposto

On the other side of the garage at Mondello last weekend, veteran Morgan McCourt returns to the UK Monoposto series, following a 2024/5 sabbatical. The UK Monoposto championship offers a unique challenge under the M1000 class, which will see Morgan fight for class honours among a plethora of Formula Jedis.
The recent test at Mondello certainly blew away any cobwebs, with the conditions meaning McCourt had to be on top of his Leastone 1000 at every moment. Morgan will be looking to build on his best career championship finish of 2022, where he finished 3rd in the competitive class.
Season kick off
Just one more shakedown remains for the team, when team boss Paul Heavey gives Morgans 2026 powerplant a few laps at the end of the month and Harry gets his last test at Kirkistown prior to the opening round on the 28th March. The team will then switch focus to making the trip across the pond for the Monoposto season opener at Silverstone circuit on April 4/5th. This will be the teams first visit to the International layout, which features Abbey, Village and Luffield corners of the Grand Prix track, while also utilizing the current F1 pits. The Formula Vee circus will also visit this prestigious venue later in the year but unfortunately the Leastone 1000 data correlation with the JH004 Formula Vee will be minimal!
With a mix of emerging talent and seasoned drivers in the lineup, 2026 is shaping up to be an exciting year for the Leastone team. Keep an eye on Fagan, McCourt, and the team as they embark on another competitive season on both sides of the Irish Sea. The team will also be hoping to field their additional 2 Leastone 1000s at select BOSS Ireland rounds, with drives still available.
