The Leastone team wrapped up the 2025 Irish race season at Mondello Park last weekend, where they hit the track for the final round of the Formula BOSS Ireland championship. Reigning BOSS3 champion Mark Reade was joined by Formula Vee frontrunner, Andy Keogh, who was making his Formula BOSS debut.
With no testing, Andy had a baptism of fire, as wet conditions greeted the field for qualifying early on Sunday. The two Leastone 1000s navigated the tricky conditions to line up 5th and 6th overall, (2nd and 3rd in class) with Mark never really finding the sweet spot during the 15 minute session.
There was not much improvement in conditions by the time Race 1 rolled around and Mark took full advantage at the start, vaulting to 3rd overall and snatching the class lead off the line. He then enjoyed a great battle with Paul O’Connell for the final podium spot but eventually succumbed to the World Series machine on lap 8.
Andy survived a scare at the beginning of lap 2, when he took a trip through the Turn 1 gravel trap but continued with no major issues. Having lost the pack, he then focused on getting more comfortable with the car, given his limited seat time, and steadily chipped away at his laptimes for the remainder of the race.
Mark was enjoying a buffer of over 20 seconds to the next BOSS3 runner, so could afford to cruise in the closing stages and ensure he kept it on the island. He crossed the line for his 5th class win of the year, with Andy taking 4th in class and 8th overall in his BOSS debut.

The field finally got to experience dry conditions for Race 2, and Mark once again made an impressive start, exiting Turn 1 in 2nd place overall. The Leastone 1000 was no match for the bigger machines in the dry and he was quickly swallowed up before settling into 4th overall. Andy got a good launch to maintain 4th in class and began to give chase to 2025 championship leader, who occupied the final step of the class podium.
With the world series and F3 machines some distance up the road, Mark was enjoying the clear air at the head of the BOSS3 field, maintaining a steady gap to second place and not really looking threatened by the time a red flag came out late in the race.
Andy never got an opportunity to mount an attack for 3rd in class but set some encouraging lap times en route to another 4th in class and was happy with his performance, given the last-minute decision to join the grid!

Hamstrung by some DNFs earlier in the season, Mark entered the weekend with an outside shot of retaining his BOSS3 title. Despite his 2 class wins, he ultimately came up short of overhauling new champion Steven Larkham in his beautiful Radical PR6.
The teams attention now turns to their final outing of 2025, when they join the Monoposto field for the last round of the Tiedeman Trophy, which will take place at Silverstone on November 2nd.
